The Tangle 3 prospect is located approximately 13 kilometres west of Granisle and 43 kilometres northeast of Smithers.
Regionally, the area is underlain by the Upper Triassic Takla, Jurassic Hazelton and Cretaceous Skeena Groups.
The Tangle claims are underlain by andesite, basalt, feldspar porphyry and volcanic breccias of the Hazelton Group. The area is weakly sheared with intense carbonization, weak silicification and quartz stringers.
Mineralization occurs as chalcopyrite, sphalerite, tetrahedrite, galena and barite associated with quartz veins or disseminated.
In 1989, Daniel J. Ethier of Ethier Exploration completed prospecting, geophysical surveys and regional geological reconnaissance on the area. Sample DE 468 assayed 173.2 grams per tonne silver, 0.5193 per cent copper and 0.5045 per cent lead (Assessment Report 20082).
