The claims are underlain by Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group volcanics of the Telkwa Formation comprised of andesite, rhyolite, rhyodacite, dacite, breccia and tuff. They are conformably overlain and interbedded with a sedimentary succession of Lower Cretaceous age. The Hazelton Group rocks strike north-northwest and dip moderately to the southwest.

The property is underlain by relatively unaltered, massive purple and grey volcanics which host mineralization in small veinlets along a fault striking 310 degrees and dipping 77 degrees southwest. The veinlets are comprised of bornite and chalcopyrite.

Drilling in 1968-1969 determined mineralization beneath and to the east of the surface showing. In 1970, the Northern Miner reported 72,575 tonnes of probable ore grading a possible average of 34.3 grams per tonne silver and 0.92 per cent copper in the northwest trending shear zone.

Production in 1962 included 24 tonnes mined and produced 373 grams gold, 11,539 grams silver, and 1,647 kilograms copper.
