The region in which the Noble showing occurs is underlain by poorly exposed bedrock, which probably consists mainly of Mississippian to Triassic Cache Creek Group rocks and ultramafics of the Trembleur Intrusions. Upper Cretaceous to Neogene volcanic rocks of the Ootsa Lake Group also occur in the region.

The Noble showing consists of a 5-metre wide quartz vein containing some chalcocite, limonite and anomalous gold and silver values. The vein occurs within a fault zone cutting carbonatized peridotite. The peridotite is probably part of the Trembleur Intrusions.

Work History

In 1981, Lornex Mining Corporation Ltd. conducted a grid survey, altimeter survey, magnetometer survey, electromagnetic survey and rock sampling program within the St. James claims west of Sowchea Bay and Stuart River.

In 2017 and 2018, CANEX Metals Inc. completed a geochemical survey of the Echo claims. In total 288 soil samples and 8 rock samples were collected and assayed. In 2019, soil and rock sampling continued on the Echo claims and a 20 line-kilometre electromagnetic survey was conducted. The electromagnetic results were noisy and located no remarkable exploration targets.
