Capsule Geology

Geological Survey of Canada maps indicate the area is mainly underlain by Jurassic Hazelton Group volcanics. Chalcopyrite and malachite mineralization is associated with a zone of fractured and silicified andesites. A separate vein contains some galena, tetra- hedrite and barite mineralization.
