The Mount Guy limestone occurrence is located on Mount Guy, approximately 4 kilometres west of Beaver Lake.
The area is underlain by an assemblage of moderately well silicified limestones, marls and calcareous pelitic sediments interpreted as being related to the Permian-Triassic Marble Canyon Formation.
In 2011, Gibraltar Mines Ltd. completed a program of geochemical sampling and 23 diamond drill holes, totalling 783.6 metres for the purpose of determining the suitability of the limestone for conversion to a lime product. Assay results, from diamond drilling, indicate mean, minimum and maximum CaO grades of 39.74, 3.84 and 81.16 per cent, respectively, and mean, minimum and maximum loss on ignition of 40.7, 1.2 and 45.9 per cent, respectively (Assessment Report 32423).
