The Canadian showing is located on the west bank of Cunningham Creek, between Craze and Trehouse creeks, about 18 kilometres southeast of Barkerville. Access is from Barkerville along forest service and logging roads. The showing is about 190 metres west of the Switchback showing (093A 183).
The region is underlain by (?)Hadrynian to Paleozoic Snowshoe Group rocks. This is an assemblage of dominantly metasedimentary rocks of the Barkerville Terrane of south-central British Columbia. The metasedimentary rocks consist of mainly marble, quartzite and phyllite which in the area of the property comprise the Downey succession. Metamorphism of the region varies from chlorite to sillimanite and higher grade. Mineral deposits of the region are confined to greenschist facies rocks.
The Canadian showing is underlain predominantly by quartzose and sericitic phyllite with interbedded carbonate units. Galena, sphalerite and pyrite, with associated gold and silver values, occur disseminated in oxidized carbonate and also in crosscutting quartz veins. An occurrence of coarse galena as fracture filling has also been recognized.
Golden Cariboo Resources conducted reconnaissance level exploration on Golden Cariboo land package in 2001 and 2003 consisting of geological mapping and prospecting with concurrent rock and soil geochemical sampling. In addition, soil grids were established at Maude Creek on the Au property, Shy Robin Gulch on the G psoperty, and at Cunningham Creek on the Cariboo Hudson (093A 071) property.
In 2004, known showings on the Craze property (Hibernian, 093A 051; Jewellery Shop, B-Zone, 093A 051; Switchback, 093A 183, A-Zone (093A 186) and the 32N trench) were examined. New mapping was done at the B-Zone and Switchback showings and in the area of the A-Zone west of Cunningham Creek. Stream sediment samples were collected in Chili and Trehouse creeks. Three holes were drilled from the same collar on the A-Zone to test for limestone-hosted gold-bearing galena mapped at surface during the Riocanex program in the 1970s. The drillholes did not intersect the mineralized limestone target.
