The Discovery Creek showing is located approximately 205 kilometres northwest of Lillooet and 2 kilometres northwest of Homathko Peak. The showing is part of the Homathko property, which also contains the Hom showing (MINFILE 092N 023).
The area is underlain by the Stikine terrane, consisting of Jurassic plutonic and metamorphic rocks of the Coast Plutonic Complex.
Locally, the property is underlain by the Homathko tonalite, massive to pillowed mafic volcanics, pyritic mudstones, graphitic argillites, siltstones, quartz feldspar porphyry and altered mafic volcanics.
Mineralization occurs as patchy disseminated chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite and pyrite in a 20- to 60-metre-wide exposure of stockwork of quartz ankerite veining over a strike length of 200 metres within altered mafic volcanics and quartz feldspar porphyry.
In 2010, Transition Metals Corp. staked the property and completed prospecting and mapping. Highlights of the prospecting include rock sample E241886, which assayed 87.5 grams per tonne gold and 45.7 grams per tonne silver, and rock sample E241885, which assayed 15.1 grams per tonne gold and 1.4 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 32197).
In 2011, Transition Metals Corp. conducted geological mapping and prospecting on the property. Highlights of the prospecting include rock sample L781102, which assayed 25.8 grams per tonne silver and 0.99 per cent copper (Assessment Report 33110).
