The Georgina occurrence is located east of the North Memekay River, approximately 6 kilometres east of its junction with the Middle Memekay River.
The area is underlain by sedimentary rocks of the Lower Jurassic Harbledown Formation and calc-alkaline volcanics, both of the Bonanza Group. These have been intruded by dioritic intrusives of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite.
Locally, gossanous mudstones and felsic intrusives host disseminated to massive pyrite and pyrrhotite mineralization. Minor carbonate is also noted. In 1992, grab samples assayed up to 5.69 grams per tonne gold and 91.9 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 22347).
In 1992 and 1997, M. Becherer prospected the area as the Georgina and Rissa claims.
