The Allen-Suds (CS) showings are located immediately west of Provincial Highway Number 19, approximately 1.9 kilometres north west of Crane Lake.
The area is underlain by a very thick gently dipping to flat-lying sequence of Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation massive mafic flows with minor interbedded pillow lava. Locally minor inter- flow sediments occur.
Locally, nine mineralized copper showings have been identified over an area of approximately 500 by 300 metres and from 210 to 270 metres in elevation. The mineralization consists of native copper, bornite, chalcocite and minor chalcopyrite found mostly in the interstices or matrix of tuff and other clastic sediments in the pillow lava. Malachite and azurite staining is also evident.
In 1980, six chip samples, taken together along strike of the main CS showing, yielded values from 0.446 to 4.1 per cent copper over widths of 30 centimetres, respectively (Assessment Report 9350). In 1992, rock samples yielded up to 3.127 per cent copper, 7.6 grams per tonne silver, 0.14 grams per tonne gold and 0.0365 per cent vanadium; while a chip sample assayed 1.28 per cent copper over 0.7 metres (Assessment Report 22677). In 2007, rock sampling of mineralized basalts and inter-flow sediments yielded up to 3.125 per cent copper, 14.4 grams per tonne silver and 0.209 per cent vanadium (Assessment Report 29287). Drilling, performed the same year, only intercepted minor disseminated native copper with assay values up to 0.089 per cent copper (Assessment Report 30373).
In 1980, chip sampling of other zones yielded up to:
Zone Copper
(Number) (per cent)
CS2 0.125
CS3 0.117
CS4 0.250
CS5 0.089
CS6 0.045
CS7 0.084
CS8 0.425
CS9 0.780

In 1962, Menzies Bay Mining completed a program of trenching and a ground electromagnetic survey on the area as the Allen 1 claim. In 1969, Calmac Mines completed a program of rock and soil sampling on the area as the Chal claim group. In 1980, Cal-Star Resources completed a program of geological mapping, soil sampling and ground geophysical surveys on the area as the Suds claims. In 1992, Estey Agencies completed a prospecting program on the area as the Nina claim. In 2004, J.W. Laird completed a program of geological mapping on the area as the V 1-10 claims. In 2007, J.L. Paquet, later Western Gateway Minerals, completed programs of rock sampling and 8 diamond drill holes, totalling 921.8 metres, on the area as the Copper Tree claims.
