The NW 48 occurrence is located approximately 1.7 kilometres southwest of Inkikuh Creek.
The area is underlain by quartz diorites to granodiorites of the Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic Guichon Creek Batholith. Border phase rocks to the west are in contact with Guichon variety (Highland Valley phase) rocks to the east.
Locally, on the NW 48 claim, minor showings of weakly disseminated chalcopyrite with faint malachite staining occurs in epidote-altered diorite of the Border phase of the Guichon Creek Batholith.
To the south-southwest of the previous zone, on the NW 69 claim, a leucogranite hosts minor chalcocite and malachite.
