The Trump (Tru) occurrence is located on a small hill, north of Frisken Creek and near the northeast end of Stump Lake.
The area is underlain for the most part by volcanic and sedimentary rocks of the Upper Triassic Nicola Group. These include augite porphyritic andesite, basalt, volcanic breccia and minor tuff and argillite. To the south, the Nicola Group rocks are in contact with a narrow zone of Mississippian-Triassic Cache Creek Group volcanics. The northern portion of the property is covered by Eocene flows of the Kamloops Group. Faults and shear zones have a general north trend.
Locally, an oxidized, silicified and fractured alteration zone, approximately 90 metres wide and traced for 900 metres along a strike of 020 degrees, in an andesite, quartzite and conglomerate hosts quartz-calcite veins containing tetrahedrite, chalcopyrite, pyrite, pyrrhotite and sphalerite. Bornite and specular hematite occur as thin veinlets, and magnetite, hematite, mariposite, malachite and azurite are also reported.
In 1967, five grab samples (K-870-1 through K-870-5) taken from five pits over a length of 450 metres assayed from trace to 0.34 gram per tonne gold, 2.7 to 72.8 grams per tonne silver and 0.07 to 0.76 per cent copper (Property File - Alberni Mines Ltd. [1976-04-03]: Reports on the Riverside and Stump Lake Properties).
In 1972, grab samples from quartz and quartz-calcite veins assayed up to 1.0 per cent copper and 137.12 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 4165).
In 1956, Vananda Mines completed a program of geological mapping and minor hand trenching. In 1967, Sultana Silver Mines Ltd. examined the area. In 1972, Anglo-Western Minerals completed a program of rock and soil sampling, geological mapping and ground geophysical surveys on the area as the Wind property. In 1976, Alberni Mines Ltd. examined the property. During 1983 through 1986, Surinam Resources completed programs of ground geophysical surveys on the area as the S.P.C. claims.
