The Ole-Pat occurrence is located southwest of Dupuis Creek and approximately 1.5 kilometres northwest of the north end of Leroy Lake.
The area is underlain by Chataway variety intrusive rocks of the Highland Valley phase of the Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic Guichon Creek batholith. This unit is medium-grained granodiorite, rich in hornblende, biotite and plagioclase. Northeast of Billy Lake is a large dike swarm area where Bethlehem phase porphyritic dikes intrude Highland Valley phase granodiorites.
The Ole-Pat showing is located in a north trending fault zone which has been traced for 1 kilometre along strike. The fault zone hosts malachite staining and small amounts of chalcopyrite and molybdenite on fracture planes.
Work History
In 1956, Udd-Ramsey Syndicate completed a program of geological mapping and a 60.4 line-kilometre ground magnetic survey on the area as the Ole and Pat claims.
In 1972, a 1112 line-kilometre airborne magnetic survey was completed on the area as the MLM and GCM claims.
In 1976, Cominco Ltd. completed a 19.0 line-kilometre induced polarization survey on the area as the Elf claims of the Gump property.
In 1980 and 1982, Cominco Ltd. completed induced polarization surveys on the area as the Antler, Buck, Elk, Lake and Score claims of the Gump property.
In 1993, the area was help by Hudson Bay Exploration and Development Co.
In 2008, Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. completed a 278.0 line-kilometre ground magnetic survey on the area immediately south of the occurrence as apart of the Rateria property.
In 2018 and 2019, Granby Gold Inc. completed programs of geological mapping and soil sampling on the area as the Mamit Lake property.
