The Bob occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 1570 metres, in the north headwaters of Rusy Creek and approximately 1.3 kilometres southeast of the south end of Roscoe Lake.
The area is situated on the southeastern flank of the Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic Guichon Creek Batholith in an area primarily underlain by Skeena variety granodiorite. Approximately 1500 metres to the west of the Bob showing, the Skeena rocks are in contact with the younger Bethsaida phase, which consists of quartz monzonite to granodiorite and slightly younger porphyry dikes and plugs. The contact is characterized by a broad zone of moderate to extreme propylitic alteration and fracturing.
On the Bob 6 claim, the Skeena granodiorite is intruded by a 75-metre wide Bethsaida dike trending 015 degrees. Drillhole results (1965) indicate the dike is moderately altered and fractured with extensive limonitic staining. Widespread sparse amounts of malachite, pyrite and chalcopyrite are exposed near the surface. At depth the altered rocks are mineralized with disseminations and fracture-fillings of hematite, minor bornite, secondary chalcocite and molybdenite.
On the Bob 2 claim, to the south of the Bob 6 claim, diamond drilling (1972) has identified a chlorite-sericite–altered Skeena granodiorite hosting a shear zone with malachite. Minor chalcopyrite and pyrite are also reported. Drilling yielded up to 0.30 per cent copper over 3.0 metres in hole M72-4 (Assessment Report 4050).
