The Polaris showing outcrops along the northwest bank of Arrastra Creek, 21.5 kilometres west-southwest of Princeton.

Chalcopyrite occurs in a possible fault zone cutting Upper Triassic Nicola Group metavolcanics, near the south end of the Early Jurassic Tulameen Ultramafic Complex.

The showing was explored by Anaconda American Brass Ltd. in 1968 and 1970.
