The Nugget II occurrence is located on the eastern shore of Harrison Lake, approximately 5.5 kilometres northwest of the mouth of Big Silver Creek.
The area is underlain by volcanic rocks, primarily tuffs, of the Lower Cretaceous Gambier Group.
In 1983, Callex Mineral Explorations completed a program of prospecting, geochemical sampling and a magnetometer survey. This work identified a geochemical (lead-gold-zinc) anomaly and magnetic anomaly (Assessment Report 11914). In 1989, the Lucky 1-2 claims were staked to cover the former Nugget claims. The same year, a program of geochemical sampling and prospecting was completed by D.H. Hopper.
In 1983, a 1 metre chip sample of pyritized tuff with quartz veins assayed 0.69 gram per tonne silver and trace gold (Assessment Report 11914). Sampling in 1989 assayed up to 1.6 parts per million silver, 108 parts per million copper and 5 parts per billion gold (Assessment Report 19959).
