The Cindy showing outcrops approximately 2 kilometres north-northwest of the B.C. Telephone microwave tower north of Missezula Mountain, 1.2 kilometres southeast of Ketchan Creek.

This area southeast of Ketchan Creek is underlain by andesitic tuff, flows and agglomerates, and minor limestone of the Upper Triassic Nicola Group (Central Belt, Bulletin 69). These rocks are intruded by dikes and small stocks of fine-grained diorite, hornblende porphyry and feldspar porphyry.

A large zone of hydrothermally-altered, gossanous and fractured diorite is faulted against a section of andesitic flows and diorite dikes by a northwest-striking fault. The zone trends northwest along the east flank of the fault for 400 metres and varies up to 250 metres in width. Secondary minerals include sericite and quartz, with some biotite, kaolinite and feldspar. This alteration is accompanied by abundant disseminated and fracture-controlled pyrite and minor chalcopyrite. A few quartz stringers in the southern part of the zone contain pyrite, chalcopyrite and galena. The andesitic flows west of the fault contain scattered occurrences of magnetite, pyrite and minor chalcopyrite accompanied by epidote alteration.

In 1987, a sample (VAN-3803) assayed 1.921 per cent copper, 0.265 gram per tonne gold and 172.6 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 17118, page 9).

Work History

In 1973, D.C. Malcolm completed a program of geological mapping on the area as the Cindy claims. Later that year, Even Sleeman, on the behalf of Bronson Mines Ltd., prospected the claims. Also in 1973, Barrier Reef Resources Ltd. and ISO Explorations Ltd. completed programs of soil sampling, geological mapping and ground magnetic and electromagnetic surveys on the area immediately east of the occurrence as the DEX, ESP and Red Box claims. The following year, Bronson Mines Ltd. completed a 19.0 line-kilometre ground magnetic survey on the Cindy claims.

In 1985, Vanco Explorations Ltd. completed a program of geological mapping and geochemical (rock and soil) sampling on the area as the Bloo, Climax and Thor claims. In 1987, a further program of rock and soil sampling was completed on the claims.

In 2002 and 2003, Gary Brown completed 40.0 line-kilometres of ground magnetic surveys on the area as the Thor 3-4 claims. In 2004, Copper Hill Exploration Corp. completed a program of geological mapping and photo-geological interpretation on the area as the Ketchan property.

In 2011, Moag Copper Gold Resources Inc. completed a program of soil sampling on the area as part of the Ketchan property. In 2013, West Cirque Resources Ltd. completed a program of geological mapping and rock sampling on the area as the Aspen Grove property. During 2014 through 2016, KZD Aspen Grove Holding Ltd. completed programs of prospecting, geological mapping and a 21.4 line-kilometre induced polarization survey on the Aspen Grove property.
