The old propsect adit is located north of Newman Creek below the Squamish Highway. The prospect adit was driven on a sparsely miner- alized, easterly striking shear zone in greenish, porphyritic ande- site and breccia of the Jurassic to Cretaceous Gambier Group. The shear zone is mineralized with disseminated chalcopyrite which is partly altered to malachite (Armstrong, 1954, page 6).
