The Blue claims were staked to cover a large bluff of intrusive rock on the west side of Chehalis Lake. Large boulders spalled off the intrusive are ideal for test purposes. The Jurassic Mt. Jasper Plug, part of the Coast Plutonic Complex, is massive quartz diorite. The rock is medium to coarse grained, grey-white with up to 12 per cent hornblende. The rock is fresh and clean on broken surfaces and weathers without staining. No sulphides were seen, as well as no xenoliths. Work was recorded in 1996 and the claims lapsed in 1997. There are no further records of work.
