The K 19 occurrence is located near the shoreline, west of Refuge Cove and approximately 3.7 kilometres north west of Sharp Point.
The area is underlain by high grade metamorphic volcanic rocks of the Paleozoic- Mesozoic Westcoast Complex (Geological Survey of Canada, Map 1537A). These have been intruded by diorite of the Eocene Catface Intrusions.
A copper occurrence is reported in Geological Survey of Canada, Paper 53-17 (Map 53-17, #3). No further details are available.
In 1972, Florex Mining completed a program of geological mapping, rock and soil sampling and a ground magnetic survey on the area as the K claims.
