The Falls Creek occurrence is located on the western side of Falls Creek, approximately 400 metres south east of the Red Creek Main Bridge, which crosses Falls Creek.
The area, according to Muller, is underlain by a meta-greywacke schist unit and an argillite meta-greywacke unit, both of the Jurassic to Cretaceous Leech River Complex (Geological Survey of Canada Open File 821). The former unit consists of meta-greywacke, meta-arkose and quartz-feldspar biotite schist; the latter consists of thinly bedded greywacke and argillite, slate, phyllite and quartz-biotite schist. Felsic and granodiorite dikes have intruded both units.
Locally, an oxidized multiple quartz vein “swarm” structure is reported to host visible gold. In 2012, a sample (J677873) yielded up to 4700 parts per million arsenic but was not tested for gold (Assessment Report 34061).
During 2008 through 2012, the area was prospected by La Baron Prospecting as the Falls Creek property.
