The Roc Doc occurrence is located on the north side of Lens Creek, approximately 9 kilometres south of the community of Honeymoon Bay on Cowichan Lake.
The area is underlain by the Lower Jurassic Bonanza Group consisting of basaltic andesite, commonly amygdaloidal to rhyodacite and maroon or green tuffs and breccias interbedded with clastic sedimentary units. Several small dacite sills or plugs intrude the package of volcanic rocks.
Locally, a dark green volcanic tuff with white volcanic porphyroclasts hosts malachite, azurite, bornite, and chalcopyrite mineralization.
In 2008 and 2009, Le Baron Prospecting completed programs of geological mapping, rock chip sampling and stream sediment geochemical surveys. Rock sampling returned up to 33.6 parts per million silver and 1.93 per cent copper (sample H031246; Assessment Report 30923).
