The Block 609 occurrence is located east of Muir Creek, approximately 4 kilometres south east of Mount Muir.
The area is underlain by basalt of the Eocene Metchosin Volcanics.
Fractured basalt is mineralized locally with pyrite, and shear zones contain native copper.
In the 1960‘s, the area was explored by Mascan Explorations. A grab sample is reported to of assayed nearly 1 per cent copper (Assessment Report 9818).
In 1980 through 1984, Dynamic Oil Limited completed programs of soil sampling, geological mapping and airborne geophysical surveys on the area as the Harley and Diane claims.
