The SW Sunrise 16 occurrence is located on a southwestern slope of Mount McClennan, at an elevation of approximately 1500 metres.
The area is underlain by chlorite schist and greenstone of Lower Cambrian age and phyllite with intercalated sediments of Mississippian age, both of the Eagle Bay Formation.
Locally, a quartz vein with pyrite, chalcopyrite and malachite staining is exposed. Two samples (708947 and 708950) assayed from 0.387 to 0.784 per cent copper, 6.2 to 7.6 grams per tonne silver and 0.097 to 0.652 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 33467).
In 2012, Montego Resources completed a program of rock sampling and airborne geophysical surveys on the area.
