The area is underlain by the Devonian part of the Eagle Bay Formation consisting of northeast trending quartz-chlorite-sericite schist and quartzite which are cut by porphyry dykes. Several con- cordant quartz veins contain pyrite. A showing of galena was reported in the area and a sample assayed 26 per cent lead, 2331 grams per tonne silver and 1.4 grams per tonne gold (Annual Report 1924).
