The Dave showing is located on the north side of Nashwito Creek at an elevation of approximately 880 metres and 18 kilometres west-northwest of Vernon.
Regionally, the area is underlain by Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic Nicola Group sedimentary and volcanic rocks, which unconformably overlie sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Devonian to Triassic Harper Ranch Group. These units are intruded by Middle Jurassic granitic rocks. Extensive Eocene Penticton Group volcanic and sedimentary rocks overlie the older units.
Locally, a quartz-calcite vein in carbonate-altered Harper Ranch Group tuffs and volcanic rocks hosts gold mineralization. The vuggy vein is hematite and limonite stained and has been traced for 6 to 7 metres.
In 1989, a collection of grab samples (Dave-5) taken along approximately 6.5 metres of the mineralized zone assayed 5.73 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 19152).
In 1984, Golden Porphyrite Ltd. completed a program of prospecting; geological mapping and rock, silt and soil sampling on the area as the Nash 1-4 claims. During 1988 through 1990, Prosperity Gold Corporation completed programs of geological mapping; rock, soil and heavy mineral sampling and an 80.6 line-kilometre combined ground magnetic and electromagnetic (VLF-EM) survey on the surrounding area as the Nash property. Also in 1989, the area was prospected and sampled as the Dave 1-2 claims by Y-H Technical Services.
In 2017 and 2018, Opal Resources Canada Inc. conducted programs of prospecting, geological mapping, geochemical sampling and trenching on the area as the Klinker/Ewer property.
