This property is located on Waldie creek near its junction with Sheep Creek. The Kootenay Belle (082FSW046) property adjoins on the northeast. Other associated properties are Yellowstone, Queen, Vancouver and Alexander (082FSW052, 048, 049, and 051).

The Midnight (or Hide Away) adit crosscuts dark, chloritic schists of the Lower Cambrian Reno Formation in contact to the east with grey to white quartzites of the Upper Navada Member of the Lower Cambrian Quartzite Range Formation (both formations are correlative with rocks of the Hamill Group). A 5 to 6 metre thick, quartz- porphyry sill intrudes the sediments.

The vein is poorly defined and in large part consists of grey to white lenses of quartz which host up to 2 per cent pyrite and pyrrhotite, with chlorite, as disseminations. No distinct northeast trending vein is obvious in the workings. Chip sampling from selected locations returned values as high as 2 to 6 grams per tonne gold and 3 to 8 grams per tonne silver. One sample assayed 12.41 grams per tonne gold and 6.86 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 11589). The occurrence is closely associated with the Vancouver vein (082FSW049). Minor magnetite as well as limonite and manganese oxide is associated with the mineralized quartz.

Refer to the Kootenay Belle (082FSW046) for a summary of the Sheep Creek mining camp.
