Old trenches and a 3-metre adit investigated showings on the Midas Touch claims, held by Midas Creek Explorations Ltd. in 1988. In 1987, the company conducted mapping, sampling and geophysical and soil surveys on the property.
The property covers a contact between meta sediments of the Triassic Slocan Group; and granites of the Middle Jurassic Nelson Batholith. Several mineralized zones occur on a ridge west of Maurier Creek and east of the L.H. property (082FNW212). The zones are silicified and carry pyrite, galena and sphalerite.
A sample of hornfels assayed 14.30 per cent zinc, 20.3 per cent lead, 1500 grams per tonne silver and 1.9 grams per tonne gold (EMPR Paper 1989-5, Table A).
