In 1998, a grab sample (176) assayed 1.85 grams per tonne gold, 5.9 grams per tonne silver and 0.180 per cent copper (Assessment Report 25726). The area has been historically explored in conjunction with the nearby Pellaire (MINFILE 092O  045) occurrence. In 1998, Pellaire Gold Mines completed a program of geological mapping and rock, silt and soil sampling on the area. During 2005 through 2016, Valor Resources completed programs of silt, soil and rock sampling, a 4.8 line-kilometre combined ground magnetic and electromagnetic survey and an 89.0 line-kilometre airborne geophysical survey on the area.
