The area is underlain by sedimentary rocks of the Jurassic to Cretaceous Cayoosh Assesmblage and Late Cretaceous granodioritic intrusive rocks. Locally, siliceous chert-phyllite sediments are intruded by a pyritic granodiorite and host chalcopyrite mineralized quartz veins. In 1977, a sample of mineralized quartz vein assayed 23 grams per tonne silver and 1.60 per cent copper (Assessment Report 6716). In 2013, a rock grab sample (13DRP005) of quartz vein yielded up to 0.28 gram per tonne gold and 22.2 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 34749). Another area of mineralization is reported in the extreme head waters of the creek, approximately 1.5 kilometres to the north east, where quartz-carbonate veined serpentinite schist hosts malachite and chalcopyrite mineralization. In 2013, a rock grab sample (13KRP1113) of assayed 0.14 per cent copper and 3.5 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 34749). To the west of the main creek occurrence, pyritic cherty shales are cut by porphyritic dacite dikes. In 2014, a rock sample (14DRP003) assayed 0.64 per cent zinc, while float samples (14DRP020 and 14DRP021) assayed up to 0.1 per cent zinc, 0.47 per cent lead and 19.1 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 35709). In 1970, Fourbar Mines completed a program of silt and soil sampling on the area as the Ed claims. In 1977, the area was prospected and sampled as the WM claims. During 2012 through 2014 the area was prospected and sampled as the Poppa Bear property. EMPR AR 1935-F11,12; 1954-108; 1967-131; 1968-162 EMPR ASS RPT 2864, *6716, 33819, *34749, *35709 GSC OF 482
