The area is underlain by granodiorite of the Cretaceous to Tertiary Bendor pluton. The contact between the intrusive and steeply dipping sediments and volcanics of the Mississippian to Jurassic Bridge River Group trends northwest-southeast. Mineralization occurs in veins related to shear structures in the granodiorite. The veins range from 15 centimetres to 2.5 metres in width, strike northwest-southeast and are relatively flat lying. Pods and disseminations of massive stibnite and sphalerite along with realgar, orpiment, arsenopyrite, pyrite, tetrahedrite, galena and traces of ruby silver occur in quartz-carbonate gangue. Similar mineralized occurrences have been mapped and sampled by trenching over an area approximately 600 metres long in an east-north east by west-south west orientation. Trenches 1a, 1b and 15 are located at the north east end and expose gossanous granodiorite and quartz diorite hosting quartz veins with pods of massive stibnite, sphalerite and arsenopyrite. Trenches 2, 3, 5, 13 and 14 are located near the middle of the zone and expose quartz veins with massive stibnite, sphalerite and arsenopyrite. Trench 6, located near the south west end, exposed massive stibnite in quartz veins hosted by a gossanous altered granodiorite. In 1969, a spoil dump sample from a trench assayed 0.34 gram per tonne gold, 456 grams per tonne silver and 16.63 per cent antimony (Assessment Report 03101). In 1980, three chip samples yielded an uncut average of 3.7 grams per tonne gold, 1,737.2 grams per tonne silver, 1.41 per cent antimony and 7.2 per cent lead over 17 metres from the main zone (Assessment Report 08341). In 1985, channel samples from trench 1a yielded an average of 39.6 grams per tonne silver over a length of 30 metres. Trench 2 yielded 1.3 grams per tonne gold over 32.5 metres and 220.8 grams per tonne silver over 73 metres, including 1.50 metres yielding 370.1 grams per tonne silver, 1.6 grams per tonne gold, 3.17 per cent antimony and 3.56 per cent lead. Trench 3 averaged 196.1 grams per tonne silver and 0.55 grams per tonne gold over 12.5 metres. Trench 5 yielded 47.8 grams per tonne silver over 5 metres. Trench 6 averaged 122.5 grams per tonne silver over 12.5 metres, including 543.2 grams per tonne silver over 0.65 metre (Assessment Report 14727). In 1987, trench 15 yielded 51.6 grams per tonne silver over 30 metres (Assessment Report 16638). In 1971, Westview Mining completed a program of ground magnetic and electromagnetic surveys on the area as the Rock and Roy claims. In 1980, Tamarind Holdings completed a program of rock sampling, geological mapping and trenching on the area as the Windy claims. Also in 1980, Solitaire Resources completed a program of rock sampling and geological mapping on the area immediately west and south as the Sol and Boss claims. During 1985 through 1988, Coral Energy completed programs of rock and soil sampling, trenching, geological mapping and airborne geophysical surveys on the area as the Truax Gold II claim. In 2003, Sona Resources completed a program of rock, silt and soil sampling on the area. During 2005 and 2006, programs of prospecting, rock sampling and a 0.8 line-kilometre ground magnetic and electromagnetic survey were completed on the area as the Tylerstone claim.
