Access is via a logging road from Boston Bar and then a steep cat trail from Log Creek. The showing is currently being explored as part of the Dot-Apex-Dragon claim group. Historically, the watersheds adjacent to the property were prospected at the turn of the century. Subsequently, anomalous gold-bearing quartz structures were discovered on ground now covered by the claim group. Old gold workings consist of open cuts and shallow pits on the former Jubilee, Summit and Serpintine claims. In 1983, the old workings were rediscovered by D. G. Cardinal. In 1985, Hudson Bay Exploration & Development conducted a program of regional geology, geochemical and geophysical surveys and six diamond drill holes. In 1988, Westerra Resources Ltd. carried out sampling and geological surveys examining the Summit and Serpentine showings. In 2002, D. G. Cardinal staked open ground covering the old Serpentine and Summit gold showings as the Apex claims and later, in 2005, staked the Dot claims to cover the former Jubilee showing. In 2010, the claims were optioned by Electra Gold Ltd. and a program of mapping and soil sampling was completed. The area is underlain by lower greenschist facies Permian(?) to Lower Cretaceous Bridge River Complex (Group) phyllites and schists and Upper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous Relay Mountain Group phyllites, semi-schists and local sedimentary units. Pods of Bridge River serpentinized ultramafics occur in fault and normal contacts with both groups. Late Cretaceous quartz monzonite plugs intrude all rocks. At the showing, steep-dipping, northwest-trending, intensely foliated greenschist is intercalated with phyllites and argillites. This package is in fault contact with northwest-trending serpentinized ultramafics and intruded by biotite quartz monzonite. Abundant finely disseminated arsenopyrite, pyrrhotite and pyrite with minor chalcopyrite and galena occur in greenschist wallrock immediately adjacent to massive quartz veins, up to 1.5 metres wide, in a northwest-trending shear zone. The shear zone occurs in greenschist parallel to an ultramafic dyke and close to the biotite quartz monzonite contact. Quartz carbonate alteration minerals (siderite, ankerite, mariposite and quartz with sericite and actinolite) occur in the shear zone. The average strike of the quartz veins is 345 degrees. Historic sampling of the Summit and Serpentine showings has returned 1.98 to 4.68 and 1.29 to 3.61 grams per tonne gold, respectively (Assessment Report 30400) In 2010, rock samples returned up to 4.33 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 31988). Exploration work in 2012 by D. G. Cardinal included mapping, soil and rock sampling. The Apex zone is retraceable for at least 2500 metres following a northwesterly trend. In 2013, a limited mapping and sampling program was carried out on the northwest portion of the Dot-Apex property. Seven rock samples and four silt samples were collected from random locations in and around the Apex zone. In 2014, 16 grab samples were collected from the Apex zone. More than half of the samples returned anomalous gold values up to 4 grams per tonne gold, with sample Apex-15R returning 4.13 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 35370). In 2015, systemic mapping was conducted to the south and southwest of the Apex zone. Two areas were mapped at 1:4000 scale.
