The Hurricane Creek limestone occurrence is located about 76 kilometres southeast of the community of Atlin.

Limestone and limestone breccias of the upper Mississippian to Permian Horsefeed Formation (Cache Creek Complex) are thermally metamorphosed at the contact with Middle Jurassic Three Sisters Plutonic Suite granitic intrusions. Marble containing brucite is associated with the contact alteration zones in the area east of Hurricane Creek and south of Hayes Peak.
