The Pyramid property is underlain by volcanic and meta-sedimentary rocks of the Jurassic Shonektaw Formation. These rocks have been intruded by Triassic-Jurassic intrusives including hornblende diorites, quartz diorites, and granodiorites. The project has experienced regional greenschist facies metamorphism.
The Central zone was originally defined by an open-ended soil anomaly averaging 359 parts per million copper with coincident gold/arsenic anomaly. In 2014, a 32.6-line kilometre 3D IP survey was carried out over the MT (West) and Central Zones at reconnaissance spacing (400 metres). This resulted in promising chargeability and resistivity anomalies at both the Central and West zones. Soil sampling was focused on infill sampling of the Central Zone and extension and infill sampling of the West Zone. On the Central zone, IP geophysics indicated a shallow 1 kilometer long northwest trending chargeability anomaly that increases in width at depth.
PY-17-01 (155.45 metres) was collared in a chargeability low to the west of the anomalous chargeability trend and PY-17-02 (100.59 metres) and PY-17-03 (163.07 metres), were drilled 460 metres apart within the chargeability high. All three Reverse Circulation drill holes intersected propylitic alteration (Epidote-Chlorite-Carbonate-Pyrite) with PY-17-02 and PY-17-03 intersecting regions of quartz sericite porphyry (QSP) alteration overprints. All drill holes intersected sulphide mineralization including pyrite, chalcopyrite, and pyrrhotite. Visual estimates range up to 10 per cent total sulphide in portions of PY-17-03, where intense QSP alteration includes feldspar veins containing mineralized quartz vein clasts (Press Release, OK2 Minerals Ltd., June 15, 2017). The Reverse Circulation drill hole was completed to a depth of 164.59 metres with both copper and sulfur increasing with depth. OK2 Minerals reported that results confirmed that the Central Zone represents a new porphyry system. Copper mineralization occurs as both disseminated and quartz vein hosted chalcopyrite. Drill hole PY-17-03 returned low-grade intercepts but did show anomalous copper throughout most of the drill hole with up to 0.06 per cent copper from 152.4 to 153.92 metres ((News Release, OK2 Minerals Ltd., August 14th, 2017).
Diamond drill hole PD-17-01 drilled through diorites with anomalous background copper geochemistry and into andesites. The hole failed to return any significant intercepts; however, epithermal style alteration was present throughout the hole (News Release, OK2 Minerals Ltd., December 19, 2017).
WORK HISTORY
The 2013, Gold Jubilee Capital Corp. staked the property in 2013 and conducted a field program which consisted of 1059 soil, 93 stream sediment, and 19 rock samples, in addition to reconnaissance scale (1:10,000) geological mapping, and a 408 line-km airborne geophysical survey. The 2013 exploration program delineated three target areas: The MT (West) zone, the Central zone, and the East zone.
The 2014 program was designed to further test the 3 targets on the Pyramid property (Perry, 2015). A 32.6-line kilometre 3D IP survey was carried out over the MT and Central Zones at reconnaissance spacing (400m). This resulted in promising chargeability and resistivity anomalies at both the Central and MT Zones. A total of 695 soil, 33 rock, and 3 silt samples were taken.
In 2015, additional infill soil sampling was completed bringing line spacing to 100 metres on the West Zone and 200 metres at the Central Zone. A total of 236 rock samples, 983 soil samples were collected. A 34.1 kilometres Induced Polarization (IP) survey was completed. The bulk of the 2015 program was focused on defining drill targets on the West Zone.
In 2016, 663.9 was drilled in 5 Reverse Circulation holes. A total of 162 rock samples, 23 soil samples and 2 stream sediment samples were collected.
In 2017, the exploration program of OK2 Minerals Ltd on the Pyramid project consisted of 11 RC drill holes and three diamond drill holes totalling 1366 metres at the West zone and Central zone. Reverse circulation drilling on the target (News Release dated Aug 14th, 2017) encountered zones of strong phyllic alteration within diorites.
On February 8, 2019, OK2 Minerals announces that it applied to the TSX Venture Exchange for change of names to Norra Metals Corp., (New Release, Norra Metals, February 8, 2019).
