The Wheaton Creek Asbestos occurrence is located about 65 kilometres east-southeast of the community of Dease Lake.

The showing is underlain by upper Mississippian to Permian ultramafic rocks of the Cache Creek Complex consisting of peridotite, dunite and pyroxenite which are generally serpentinized. These rocks are reported to contain veins of asbestos fibre. No work is reported.
