The Falcon occurrence is located about 62 kilometres east-southeast of Dease Lake.
Limestones of the Upper Triassic Sinwa Formation (Stuhini Group) and greywackes of the Lower Jurassic Inklin Formation (Laberge Group) are folded along a northwest axis parallel to the King Salmon thrust fault, south of the property.
Mineralization consisting of tetrahedrite, minor galena, sphalerite, and pyrite occurs in quartz veins, stockworks, and siliceous replacement zones within the limestone subparallel and adjacent to the contact with the overlying greywacke. Azurite, limonite, and a white crusty mineral associated with galena is evident on weathered fractures within the limestone.
In 1985, a 50-centimetre chip sample assayed 218 grams per tonne silver, 0.65 per cent copper, 0.055 per cent lead, 0.04 per cent zinc and less than 0.1 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 14954). In 2007, a grab sample (07THP008) was taken across the mineralized section of the vein and assayed 67.3 grams per tonne silver and 0.31 per cent copper (Assessment Report 29542).
In 1985, Miramar Energy Corporation performed geological mapping, very low frequency electromagnetic surveying, and soil geochemistry on their Falcon claims. A total of 4 rock grab, 167 soil, and 3 silt samples were collected, with only 45 of the 167 soil samples sent for analysis. In 1988, Spur Ventures Inc. performed soil sampling analysis and interpretation on the previous work performed by Miramar Energy Corporation in 1985.
During July and August of 2007, Turnagain River Exploration Ltd. conducted a reconnaissance exploration program over the Turnagain property, consisting of prospecting and heavy mineral concentrate stream sediment sampling over at least seven showings (King Kong, 104I 067; Spring, 104I 110; King Mountain, 104I 108; PR8, 104I 109; PR7, 104I 107; Alice Shea Jade, 104I 104; and Alice Shea Creek, 104I 005).
