The Hickman SE showing area is underlain by Triassic dioritic intrusion in an area of volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic Stuhini group.
Chip sample 90G-27-J01, of diorite containing chalcopyrite and possibly tetrahedrite, assayed 0.06 per cent copper over 2 metres (Assessment Report 21194). The sample was taken from a fault zone with an area of 10 by 20 metres having a breccia texture.
In 1990, work completed on the Hickman claims by Schellex Gold consisted of 3 man-day's of fieldwork consisting of prospecting and surface sampling which resulted in collection of 12 rock and 2 soil samples. It was reported by Schellex Gold that in 1988, United Mineral Services Ltd had prospected and surface sampled portions of the area covered by the Hickman property.
