The Canyon 28 SE showing area is underlain by marine sedimentary and volcanic rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. The stratigraphy is intruded by Late Triassic granodiorite, Early Jurassic monzodiorite to gabbro (Texas Creek Plutonic Suite) and Triassic to Jurassic syenite to monzonite (Copper Mountain Plutonic Suite).
A quartz-carbonate vein from 0.5 to 2 metres wide contains a trace of pyrite and chalcopyrite and assayed up to 1.34 grams per tonne gold (Sample 90C-HS-K01, Assessment Report 21442).
