The area of the Dev 4NW showing is underlain by Pennsylvanian sedimentary rock of the Stikine Assemblage consisting of calcareous siltstone, calcareous phyllite and shale intercalated with structurally truncated limestone lenses all overlain by meta-andesite. Intrusions surround the Stikine package in the Apex area, and consist of granodioritic rock of the late Early Jurassic Cone Mountain Plutonic Suite; and Paleocene to Eocene granite and alkali feldspar granite of the Sloko-Hider Plutonic Suite.
The showing is a quartz vein (1 by 2 metres) with disseminated pyrite. The host is reported to be of possible rhyolitic nature. A sample assayed 1.63 grams per tonne gold and 153.26 grams per tonne silver (Sample 7394, Assessment Report 18760). The sample did not yield significant base metal values.
In 2015, IMGM International Mining collected a grab sample about 250 metres to the northwest of the plotted location of Dev 4NW. This sample assayed 0.446 gram per tonne gold, 4.0 grams per tonne silver and 1 per cent arsenic (Sample S228371, V-2 showing, Assessment Report 35895). The sample was described as a northwest trending quartz carbonate vein, about 0.3 meter wide within a brittle-sheared hosted by calcareous siltstone and phyllite.
The 2015, CobPro02 soil geochemical target of IMGM, located on the central north part of Cob grid, covers a 1.1 square kilometre area and contains the Dev 4NW occurrence (see element plots, Assessment Report 35895). The soil program detected clusters of strong multiple elements anomalies within the target area. Gold, silver, antimony, mercury, copper, silver lead and zinc are associated well with higher anomaly values. At the north part, one multiple pathfinder element location formed anomaly centers at highly brittle and sheared zone. Prospecting work detected vein type sulfide rich quartz vein float. Sericite, clay and pyrite alteration were observed. Surface alteration and mineralization were thought to be indicative of copper-gold porphyry potential.
WORK HISTORY.
In 1988 prospecting of the Dev 1-4 claims was carried out by Continental Gold. Seventy-eight rock samples were collected for analysis
In 1990, operator Northair Group carried program of stream sediment sampling, prospecting, and geological mapping on the Dev 1-4 mineral claims. During this year, 13 heavy mineral, 108 rock, 21 soil and 265 soil samples were collected.
In 2013, IMGM International Mining Inc. staked the Phacops claims, totalling 163.48 square kilometres, located about 10 kilometres south of Telegraph Creek. In 2014, a 45 day field season resulted in the collection 103 silt samples and 110 rock samples mainly at the northern part of Phacops Property and included a cursory mapping of all 10 Phacops claims. Three prospective areas were defined,: the Devils Elbow (104G 012), the Apex area (Cob) 104G 013), and the Phacops Mountain and Butterfly Mountain areas, on the southern part of the Phacops property.
In 2015, IMGM International Mining Inc. collected 591 soils over much of the Cob grid (Phacops property) which is 850 metres east-west by 4.3 kilometres north-south, totalling 3.66 square kilometres in area. They also collected 102 rock samples and 18 thin section samples. Mapping was completed on a 1:10,000 scale. The soil program defined clusters of pathfinder element anomalies, centered along fault and breccia zones, forming linear and circle patterns interpreted by IMGM as being suggestive of structures related to porphyry mineralization. Four prospective target areas were defined as CobPro01, CobPro02, CobPro03 and CobPro04.
In 2016, IMGM International Mining Inc. expanded the Cob grid/area 1 kilometer east along its entire north-south length. They collected 444 soils over an expanded Cob grid/area (Phacops property). They also collected 102 rock samples and 18 thin section samples. Mapping was completed on a 1:10,000 scale. Focus was on the V-3 zone (Dev 3 (104G 334) which yielded a number of mineralized samples in 2016 with high silver, copper, lead and zinc assays. In 2016, the 2015 Cob soil grid was expanded to the east at the most norther part of the grid. A number of exploration soil lines were also completed throughout the Cob area.
