The Kinaskan property, which contains the QC West NW2 is underlain by Upper Triassic, Stuhini Group volcanics and volcaniclastics intruded by numerous small, quartz deficient stocks of Late Triassic to Early Jurassic age. Sulphides with copper-gold and locally molybdenum grades are generally associated with the intrusives and late quartz stockworks. Jurassic Hazelton Group volcanics and volcaniclastics unconformably overlie the Stuhini volcanics. Felsic dykes and small plugs, sometimes associated with auriferous pyrite-chalcopyrite intrude the Hazelton stratigraphy in the northern portion of the property.
Prospecting and sampling occurred in 2010 by Brett Resources on their Kinaskan property.
A sample of extremely rusty, highly altered rock containing abundant manganese assayed 0.51 gram per tonne gold, 0.35 per cent copper, 0.08 per cent zinc and greater than 100 grams per tonne silver and 0.2 per cent antimony (Sample 867760, Assessment Report 33023).
