The UT showing is located at 1900 metres elevation, approximately 1.5 kilometres east of the Snoball occurrence (MINFILE 104G 143).
Work in 1992 by Tenajon Resources Corp showed three styles of mineralization to occur on the property: 1) disseminated pyrite in both the sediments and volcanics, 2) quartz vein related disseminate pyrite and 3) shear hosted quartz veins in which arsenopyrite, galena, sphalerite and pyrite occur. The third style of mineralization appears to be the most economically favourable with the UT vein being up to 1.3 metres wide with an exposed strike length of 5 metres. The vein strikes at 100 degrees and has a steep southwesterly dip. Along strike it pinches out to the northwest while to the southeast it is talus covered. Vein mineralogy consists of a quartz gangue in which disseminated massive arsenopyrite along with lesser galena, sphalerite and pyrite occur. A 1.5 metre section taken across the vein averaged 51.6 grams per tonne gold, 302.06 grams per tonne silver, 3.59 per cent lead and 2.05 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 22577). This showing appears to pinch out to the northwest while to the southeast it is talus covered.
In 1992, Tenejon Resources completed a program of geological mapping and rock sampling on the Smith property. A total of four soil, one silt and 67 rock chip samples were collected.
Due to mislocation of the original UT MINFILE occurence plots, 2019 geophysical data interpretation Assessment Report 38228 by Wild West Gold is not pertinent. However, although the Glory showing (104G 200) plot was also originally mislocated, the operator of the UT property was able to verify that the Glory showing was located within the UT prpoerty claim boundaries.
The area has been explored in conjunction with the nearby Snoball (MINFILE 104G 143) occurrence and a complete property exploration history can be found there.
