The Haimila 1 showing area is regionally mapped as Lower Jurassic andesitic volcanic rocks of the Unuk River Formation, Hazelton Group. A slightly vuggy 2 centimetre-wide quartz vein with pyrite, chalcopyrite and malachite staining on surfaces occurs in mafic volcanic rock. Sample B062502, taken in 2017, assayed 3.3 grams per tonne silver and 0.4 per cent copper (Assessment Report 37443).
About 220 metres south from sample B062502, a quartz-calcite vein with strong disseminated pyrite and chalcopyrite occurs within mafic volcanic rock. Malachite and epidote alteration is associated with veining. A sample of this vein assayed 0.025 gram per tonne gold, 4.26 grams per tonne silver and 0.69 per cent copper (Assessment Report 37443).
In 2017, Pretium Exploration conducted grass roots prospecting, sampling and mapping on their Bowser property, mostly southwest and south of Bowser Lake; 2901 rock and 429 silt samples were collected (Assessment Reports 37435, 37443).
See Betty (104A 008) for details of relevant work done on the Bowser property besides the 2017 discovery work, including significant property-wide geophysical surveys. Also refer to Cow (104A 101) for pertinent information.
