The Kitsault Gold 5 showing is located along the Tchitin River, about 50 kilometres southeast of Stewart, north of Alice Arm.
The Kitsault Gold 5 area covers the southern extent of Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group and Upper Triassic Stuhini Group volcanic and sedimentary rocks and overlying Middle Jurassic to Upper Cretaceous Bowser Group sedimentary rocks.
The showing comprises a rock sample (MR-22b) from a brecciated, fine grained dark sediment with white infill material (quartz or carbonate?). The sample assayed 0.75 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 28476). The hostrock is inferred to be Bowser Lake Group.
In 2005, Kitsault Resources Ltd. conducted a stream sediment sampling program on the Kitsault Gold Property on behalf of owner Rand Edgar Smyth Syndicate. A total of 161 stream sediment samples were collected, together with 70 rock samples.
