The Poznan occurrence consists of five angular float mineralized quartz vein samples from a mountain cirque area west of Kitsumkalum Lake, 32 kilometres northwest of Terrace, B.C.

Upper Jurassic Bowser Lake Group sediments are intruded by Cretaceous to Tertiary tonalite to quartz diorite intrusions of the Coast Plutonic Complex. Although not described in the discovery documentation, the sediments are likely comprised mainly of argillite, shale, greywacke, conglomerate, sandstone and siltstone which are cut by Tertiary age feldspar porphyry dikes which trend east to northeast in direction; similar to the Misty prospect (MINFILE 103I 213).

In 2019, Gold Fountain Resources Inc. undertook a program of rock, soil, and silt sampling northeast of the Misty prospect, resulting in the discovery of two new gold showings (Poznan and Opole) on their Kalum Gold property. Rock samples from the Poznan occurrence assayed from 514 to 9091 parts per billion gold accompanied by strongly anomalous silver, lead, and arsenic values. Strong arsenic values were also obtained in three stream silt samples obtained east and downslope of the Poznan occurrence (Assessment Report 38630).
