The Helen occurrence is located on a southern facing slope overlooking Sand Creek.

Jurassic to Cretaceous argillites and quartzites of the Bowser Lake Group overlie basalts and andesites of the Jurassic Hazelton Group. The rocks are cut by granodiorite and diorite sills of the Cretaceous to Tertiary Coast Plutonic Complex.

Chalcopyrite, galena, sphalerite, pyrite and quartz are irregularly distributed along the argillite bed which strikes 125 degrees and dips 35 degrees southwest. The zone is up to 2 metres wide and a one metre sample assayed trace gold, 356 grams per tonne silver, 3.5 per cent copper, and 4 per cent zinc (Minister of Mines Annual Report 1932).

In 1994, the area was prospected as the Silver Dollar claim. The original occurrence was not located at this time but grab sampling of a nearby creek yielded values up to 0.10 gram per tonne gold, 6.5 grams per tonne silver, 0.06 per cent lead (Sample KRH001; Assessment Report 23766).

During 2008 through 2013, Casa Minerals Inc. completed programs of prospecting, geological mapping, geochemical (rock and soil) sampling and ground magnetometer surveys on the area as the Pitman property. In 2014, Abcana Capital Inc. entered into an agreement with Casa Minerals to acquire the Pitman property. During 2015 through 2017, Abcana and Casa Minerals completed programs of prospecting, reconnaissance geological mapping, and soil and rock sampling on the Pitman property.

In 2018 a 223 line kilometre airborne combined versatile time domain electromagnetic (VTEMTM) and aeromagnetic survey was conducted over the Pitman property (including Helen) for Casa Minerals Inc. (Assessment Report 37955). In addition, a structural analysis was conducted on the property as well as detailed sampling (rock and soil) of the Helen area (Assessment Report 37735).
