Capsule Geology

The Gordo 5C area is underlain by volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic Stuhini (Takla) Group.

In 2004, Stealth Minerals took a sample on its Gordo 5 claim from a 1.25-metre-wide quartz vein that contained chalcopyrite. This sample assayed 0.49 gram per tonne gold, 2.1 grams per tonne silver and 0.17 per cent copper (sample 192609, Assessment Report 27638).

In 2005, a 1.25 metre chip sample (83735) from a 3- to 4-metre-wide quartz vein with trace chalcopyrite assayed 0.130 gram per tonne gold and 0.151 per cent copper (Assessment Report 28039).
