Capsule Geology

The Gordo 2C area is underlain by dacitic rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini (Takla) Group. A sample of quartz vein with pyrite and chalcopyrite assayed 0.84 gram per tonne gold, 21.3 grams per tonne silver and greater than 1 per cent copper (sample 192822, Assessment Report 27638).

The showing was discovered in 2004 by Stealth Minerals on their Gordo 2 claim. See Gordo 2A (094E 292) to the north for details of a common work history. Subcrop and float were also sampled between the Gordo 2C and the Gordo 2A showings, and were found to be high in base and precious metals.
