The East Creek showing is located 32 kilometres east of Bear River, just south of the Omineca River.
The East creek showing is situated on East creek, 3.3 kilometres southeast of the Forks showing and was discovered during the 2007 exploration program of Imperial Metals Corp. while they worked on the Falls Creek (Forks) property (094D 123). The showing consists of copper mineralization in highly altered rocks that are probably andesite but initially thought to be silicified siltstone. Alteration consists of silicification and pyritization. The rocks are highly oxidized on surface and are grey on fresh surfaces. Mineralization consists of abundant pyrite, small amounts of chalcopyrite and on oxidized surfaces, malachite and azurite. Two samples from the showing, 463195 and 463404 yielded values of 0.23 and 0.09 per cent copper, and 0.04 and 0.07 grams per tonne gold, respectfully (Assessment Report 29982).
See Forks (094D 123) for related geological and work history details.
