The MP occurrence is located west to northwest of Motase Peak at approximately the 1070 metre elevation (Geology, Exploration and Mining in British Columbia, 1973, pages 405-406).
Mineralization is hosted within the Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous Bowser Lake Group metasediments and metavolcanics. Pyritic felsic dykes and sills intrude these rocks. Well-bedded, laminated siliceous siltstones and black siltstone with pale green to white tuff layers of Middle Jurassic age (Hazelton Group) occur to the east along Motase Peak ridge. The mineralization consists of disseminated chalcopyrite in fault bounded metavolcanic rocks. Minor molybdenite is associated with the dikes and sills cutting the metasediments. A pluton of the Late Cretaceous Bulkley Vally Plutonic Suite is in contact about 1 kilometre to the south.
The MP property was located on the western slope of Motase Peak. The MP 1-42 claims were held by Canadian Superior Exploration Limited in 1973. Geological mapping was carried out covering all claims.
