The Pike occurrence is located approximately 1 kilometre southwest of the Dewar Peak showing (094D 043) about 171 kilometres northwest of the community of Germansen Landing.
The regional and local geology is similar to that of the Barn showing (094D 084) located 4.1 kilometres southeast.
Disseminated bornite and malachite are hosted in purple argillites and tuffs of the Upper Triassic Savage Mountain Formation (Takla Group).
In 1973, Dorita Silver Mines Ltd. optioned 142 claims in the Sustut Peak area on the basis of their geological environment and proximity to a recently discovered significant copper deposit (Sustut Copper, 094D 063) in that area. Reconnaissance geological mapping, prospecting and geochemical (526 samples) surveys were carried out.
In 2008, preliminary prospecting and sampling was carried out by G. Dessureau on the Pike property which covers the Ice (094D 044), Moosevale (094D 046), Barn (094D 084), Bear (094D 047), Pike (094D 045) and Dewar Peak (094D 043) occurrences. The historical copper showings were not observed during this program, however, ten rock samples were taken near the Ice, Barn and Pike showings.
