The Arc occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 1910 metres on a north-northeast–facing slope in the southwestern headwaters of Thane Creek.
The area is underlain by quartz monzonitic to monzogranitic intrusive rocks of the Lower Jurassic Hogem Plutonic Suite.
Locally, the type of mineralization is not described but it is likely similar to other nearby occurrences such as the Cathedral (MINFILE 094C 181) occurrence.
Work History
In 2020, Interra Copper Corp. completed a program of geological mapping, geochemical (rock, soil and stream sediment) sampling and a 14.0 line-kilometre induced polarization survey on the area as the Thane property. A chip sample (2255) from the Arc zone assayed 3.60 per cent copper, 0.018 per cent molybdenum, 7.1 grams per tonne silver and 0.555 gram per tonne gold, whereas a rock sample (35935) assayed 2.02 per cent copper and 1.09 grams per tonne gold (Vanderwart Consulting Inc. [2021-07-12]: Technical Report on the Thane Copper-Gold Project, Omineca Mining Division, British Columbia, Canada).
